Principal for a Day

Stephen Siegel, Monroe class of 1961 and CEO of Insignia, recently served as Principal for a Day at Monroe Academy for Visual Arts & Design.

He has also established the Wendy and Stephen Siegel Scholarships for Outstanding Monroe students.

New Release

I just wanted to let you know about a new book being released written by Mel Rosenthal called "The South Bronx of America," which illustrates the decline of the South Bronx through Photographs and Text.

JMHS Yearbooks

There have been an overwhelming requests for yearbooks. At present, an inventory is in process for what years are now available. When the inventory is complete, the list will be posted on the 'Memorabilia' page.

Graduation Posters

We now have the capability to make available your graduation picture blown up to poster size. If you have interest in purchasing your graduation picture poster, please email us and upon the show of interest, we will publish the details.

Alumni Scholarship Fund

Each year, the JMHS Alumni Association awards a senior from each of the four Monroe schools a scholarship. The funds for that scholarship comes from contributions to the Alumni Association. In order to maintain these scholarships, it is requested that contributions from our alumni are made.
In an effort to increase the revenue the association receives, consideration is being given to the sale of chances for items such as radios, TVs, cameras, etc. If you are interested in  taking part in purchasing such chances for this fund, please email us and upon the show of interest, we will publish the details.
