be broken by your power and may we humble before thee, our strength and

Tears
of The Empire State Building
I
was born in ’31,
Standing proud, tallest in eyes of the sun.
102 stories I was given,
Reaching high to the gates of heaven
In
’72, my creators gave me brothers,
Twins were they,
I look to the south every morning,
Bidding them a good day.
I
as many Americans,
Lost them to a war,
From this day forward,
I shed a tear, for I will see them never more
Once
again I stand alone,
Calling the Big Apple my treasured home.
Still the icon for my state,
To recover from this tragedy,
I hope it is not too late.
Holding
a torch high, my sister stands at the door,
Shocked as she watched them fall to the floor.
Turning to me, now her only brother,
With bleeding hearts, we comfort each other.
