CommentsHi monrovians, it is so good to read about all my fellow classmates, and doing good. Mr. Osterich was my senior teacher, Mr. Turo for gym, Ms. Rabinowich for psychology. I would like to hear from Sonia Serrano, Sophia and Ruben Ortiz. I was in the arista society and Remember, you all who wrote so far. I looked in my year book and said, Hey! look who's talking LOL. I would love to see us all at the 25th anniversary. I am a Payroll Manager, in a hospital.
CommentsHello Everyone, I am very happy to have found this web site. I was in Mr Gonzales home room. I still have pictures of teachers and friends. I do hope to hear from everyone, especially David Rodriguez who joined the Navy we stayed in touch until 1984. I was in Leaders, and I'm the one who ran against George Garcia "Most likely to Succeed" (as he mentioned in classmate.com). I am an Accountant, working for a Privately Owned Software Company.

CommentsIT is great to know that you can always go and re-vist your past. This website affords us the opportunity to do just that. I was really surprised to find that my "prom date," Thelma Arriaga is fine and living in another state. The 25 year class reunion sounds wonderful. It will require participation from all of us. Well, I just completed my Bachelor's degree in Accounting, after all these years! I am an Operation's Manager for Mellon Investor Services. I live life to the fullest! Hope to hear from some of you!

CommentsTO ALL ALUMNI NO MATTER WHAT YEAR YOU GRADUATED FROM WE ARE ALL ONE BIG FAMILY FROM THE BRONX. LOVE TO YOU ALL AND THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES. LET ME HEAR FROM YOU GUYS WE ALL HAVE A STORY TO TELL.
CommentsIt was so good seeing and reading aoubt the whereabouts of some of my classmates. Sometimes I just sit and wonder about some of the teachers and classmates and oh, if only you can turn back the hand of time. For the teachers, Mr. T, still looking good (are you still funny (smile), Mr. Shapiro (the Business Math sure helped). Mr. Goodman (it was you who made me understand how to write with understanding, and for this I thank you.) also Phil (even though you were not a teacher you sure kept up in line.)

CommentsLooking to hear from classmates from 1970-1973 time frame. My twin brother (David) and I played football and baseball while at James Monroe. We were in the College Bound program. I am in touch with; Arthur Tullman, Boston Keith David King, Edgerton Maitland and Mark Walters(class of 70-71). I do stay in touch with Claire Erland (Spanish teacher). She just retired from teaching. Artie Tullman is one of the Founders of the Shark Bar Resturant in NYC. Not bad for a nice Jewish boy from Castle Hill. I am married with a little boy and reside in Westchester County. David married Margie Soler from Monroe they have two girls. One just graduated from Bronx Science with high honors. Has anyone been in touch with Aubrey Moore class of 1972. Aubrey attended Colby College in Maine. Please advise. Regards Marc Washington (Twin) Class of 72
CommentsIt is about time that a website was set up for our school. Most of us have been out of the Bronx for many years. This may be a way of getting in touch.
CommentsUnder additional comments I find it amazing that no one from the class of '63 has tried to contact anyone. I know that we are dispersed throughout the country, but this site is available in order to open a dialogue between classmates! Personally, I am married, living in New Jersey for 30+ years, and a pharmaceutical research chemist with a major pharmaceutical company. I hope to hear from some old friends from the old neighborhood. Bernie
CommentsHello to all graduates of Monroe H.S. Hope all are doing well and the class of 76 should plan some type of reunion. If anyone hears of a reunion please e-mail me.
CommentsVery cool website! I live in the Los Angeles area now and have been here since 1970. After many, many career changes, I'm now a graphic/jewelry designer. I also run a grass roots, all volunteer, non-profit. We raise money to help poor women and girls all over the nation who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy and can't afford to pay for the choice of emergency contraception or a safe abortion. Who'd a thunk that I'd become a political activist! Let me hear from my classmates
CommentsWould love to hear from some of my classmates--been in contact with Madeline Shankman.
CommentsJust checking in .....Still waiting for more classmates lets keep this thing going....peace
CommentsIt is disappointing to see that the Class of'62 is so poorly organized. Where are you? I lived on West Farms Road between Bryant Avenue and Longfellow Avenue. Went to Herman Ridder and Monroe. Lots of wonderful memories. I found Barbara Schwartz but am still looking for Delores Lapin and Judy Hoffman.
CommentsIt seems like yesterday and yet it was a life time ago. I pass the building when I drive on the Cross Bronx Expressway and it is sad to think that the school that held such good memories is no more. I have heard from several of my old class mates but would love to hear from more. I went to PS 93 and JHS123. I lived on 1000 block of Stratford Ave right next to JHS 123. I recently rode down the street I was raised on couldn't believe the changes but the memories are still there .
CommentsLOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH IN 1960 AS IT WOULD BE NICE TO GO OVER THE GOOD OLD TIMES
CommentsWould like to reach some of my friends from 1953 January grads or anytime in 1953.

CommentsHello to all my Monrovians Brother and Sisters, I can't tell you how delighted and thrill I am in participating in this site. I am and have been working for law firms in the mid-town area for approximately 23 years without a rest in between, thank god for that. I hope that anyone who remembers me and wants to shout out a "hello" is more than welcome to. I pray that everyone took the right steps in achieving their goals life and is now enjoying their own families at best with a successful career in front of them...God Bless to all and please without hesitation send me a message that I have at least reach someones ears. Take Care and maybe for our next reunion, "WE'LL MEET AGAIN"! Your Friend from Class of 1980', Joli

I just drove by Monroe a few month ago while visiting family. What great memories. Mr William Meenan, thanks for your encouragement. I retired from the AF after 24 year of service retiring as a LtCol in the USAF. I presently teach JRROTC in a HS

CommentsTerrific website! A big hello to all my fellow class-mates. I would like to hear from you folk. At James Monroe I hung out with Connie, Judy, Danny, Joseph, Carlos, Giovanni, Nelson, and Iris, and Alberto DeJesus. I hope you are all doing well. I am happy and healthy. Are there any plans for a reunion?

CommentsTo the Class of 1963: Are we alive? It appears as if no one wants to contact any of us. I am entering this on 9/03/2002, but it probabely will appear in the 2/2002 listing ( no maintenance). I thought that this was a panicia to the classmate listing. I see that I have been in error. I wished the class of 6/1963 well at the time, and I still do. We are older, but not quite DEAD!!! Someone out there in the ether.... Say HELLO!!!!! Bernie |
